THE LONG STORY SHORT

H. Hafner and Sons, Inc. is Cincinnati’s premier landscape materials supplier, serving customers for 90 years. To celebrate their 90th anniversary, Hafner’s decided to go big and ditch their 10‘ x 20’ inline booth for an island space, right smack in front of the main entrance. They wanted to make an impression. And they did.

 

HOW I HELPED

With the clock ticking, they needed a design, rental components, graphics, show services and project management. Armed with a budget and design criteria, I turned to a local exhibit house and we quickly got to work.

From exhibit design to graphic design, lighting design and services, I oversaw every detail. Giving the client peace of mind so he could focus on his business. A few last minute tweaks to the lighting the morning the show opened and they were ready to proudly celebrate 90 years in business.

Creators of cool experiences for visitor centers and events. That’s The Brand Experience. A lean, agile agency that picks team members perfect for each of their projects.
Enter the Honeywell Traveling Technology Exhibit. A modular, traveling display designed to tell the “One Honeywell” story. Showing the ways Honeywell is making the world safer, more secure, more comfortable and energy efficient.

 

HOW I HELPED

When The Brand Experience needed a centrally located facility to store and prep the Honeywell exhibit, a crack team of installers and a project coordinator they could count on to bring it all together, they picked REES Company. A couple of phone calls later, I had the perfect facility and team ready to roll. Yes, it did happen that quickly.

Once the exhibit properties made it to their new home in Chicago, we started working on our first event. From the CETYS Universidad in Mexicali, Mexico to the Honeywell Investors Day in New York City, to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL, each leg of the tour was a success.

Debbie and Mike Gardner are internationally known for their courage-based teaching and coaching. Using love as their foundation, they teach “nice” people effective mental, physical and verbal techniques to defend themselves. They empower you with their incredibly fun, surprised filled, inspiring seminars, transforming worriers into warriors.

 

HOW I HELPED

After the venue was secured and A/V needs taken care of, it was time to spread the word about this powerful event. I had a teeny-tiny budget. Actually, there was no budget. Time for some serious bootstrapping!

I created four e-flyers for use on social media, in an email campaign and we printed some too. I made sure the event was posted on every free community calendar in the area. Then came the radio appearance on 700 WLW with Scott Sloan the night before the seminar.

100+ people came that night. And the local television station came to cover it and interview Debbie Gardner. With zero budget, an all-volunteer crew and a less than generous timeline, I’d call it a success.
